Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 1 chai tea bag

  • Spoonful of sugar

  • 4 ounces bourbon

  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters

  • 2 orange peels

  • Cinnamon sticks and star anise for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Place your tea bag in about 1/3 cup of hot water. Add the sugar. Let the tea steep for about four minutes then mix to make sure the sugar has dissolved.

  2. Fill two cups with large ice cubes. Pour 2 ounces of bourbon and two dashes of bitters into each cup. Add about 2 tablespoons (more or less depending on how sweet you want it) of the chai syrup to each glass.

  3. Top each drink with an orange peel, cinnamon stick and star anise.
